We're trialling closing roads to traffic outside some Sheffield schools at the start and end of the school day. The roads outside these schools will be closed for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon from Monday to Friday during term time only.
There will be marshals managing the road closures using appropriate barriers and signage. Residents of these streets will be able to apply for a permit to give them access during the closure times.
These trials aim to help reduce congestion and improve air quality at the school gates, as well as making it easier and safer to walk or cycle to school.

Resident's permit
If you live on one of the streets that will be closed you are entitled to a permit that allows you to use the roads during the closure times. We will deliver permits to all addresses that will be affected by the road closures.
Although the permit means you can use the road freely during the road closures, we would ask you to keep it to a minimum during those hours if possible.
If you are a resident of one of these streets and have not received your permit or have other questions please contact schoolstreets@sheffield.gov.uk.
